If you keep one or two chillis from your plants & dry them out to get the seed then you will be able to keep them going. You can buy smaller plants quite economically at a lot of garden centres (dont know where you are, but if Hamilton I can recommend some)
Hi kd, yes these chilli plants look past their best as there is no sign of green stem or leaf. Chilli plants are most often grown as annuals – one summer season. Technically they are a perennial so could flower and fruit for more than one season if grown in a greenhouse. Happy gardening!

Thank you for your advice Brightbutterfly!. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep any seeds. I just brought a new chili plant from Mitre10 to replace this one.
